Simeon G. Murafa (May 24, 1887, Cotiujenii Mari - August 20, 1917) was a Moldovan politician and director of the newspaper Cuvânt moldovenesc.

Simeon G. Murafa graduated from Kiev University in 1912. He worked as director for Cuvânt moldovenesc. Simeon G. Murafa was a founder of the National Moldavian Party.
Simeon G. Murafa was killed on August 20, 1917. Two Cossack regiments stationed in Bălţi County, and a 3,000-strong Russian Army regiment in Orhei County had no other occupation but regular rades through these Counties. Among their victims were some preeminent personalities, such as the lawyer Simeon G. Murafa, the engineer Hodorogea, and Mihai Razu in August 1917, and many others in these two Counties alone.[1]
